Although the Nantes Nord church has only been in existence for a few months, it has its roots in a much older church, the Église Réformée Évangélique d'Orvault. Founded in 1988 by a team of missionaries from the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Ireland, the ERE Orvault continued to serve the Lord for almost 35 years as an Orvault association. With the move from Orvault to a new place of worship in Nantes in November 2023, the church changed, not only its headquarters and address but also its name and associative structures. The new association, Église Nantes Nord, was created and the old association changed its name to "Servir Ensemble Nantes Nord". What hasn't changed in all this is the church's raison d'être: to make disciples of Jesus Christ of all nations and to learn together how to live to the glory of the Lord.
