Students

A major student city, Nantes has around 50,000 students, at least 10% of whom are foreign. For years now, students from all over the world have been joining us for the duration of their studies.

Many students have testified to how the time they have spent in our church has greatly contributed to their spiritual growth, whether through worship, Bible study or Sunday lunch discussions. If you are looking for a church to attend while studying in Nantes, we would love to meet you, welcome you into our church community and help you grow in your faith and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We recognise that the Church of Jesus Christ is like a big family and hospitality plays an important part in our welcome to students. Each Sunday we make a point of inviting students attending worship to eat in the homes of church members or to join in a meal served on the church premises.

Testimonies

Below are some testimonials from students who have spent a year or more in Nantes and who have been part of our church. You can find more by clicking HERE.
The welcome I received at the church was so warm, they even picked me up at the airport to take me back to my apartment. All the members of the church were very welcoming. My most precious memories are of the time spent at the table after the service with the pastors, where we chatted together and I was able to get to know the others better. I also loved the Bible study on Mondays and the opportunity to dig into the Bible and ask all sorts of questions. The teaching of the Word of God on Sundays was solid and enriching and helped me grow a lot in my faith. As a result, I also had the opportunity to serve and take part in evangelism and hospitality.

I found a real spiritual family in the church. The two years I spent there were years full of encouragement. Even though it's not the biggest church in Nantes, it's a warm welcome. You can clearly see the love of Christ between the members of the church. Here I found brothers and sisters in Christ - the friends who looked after me and encouraged me every day - and there are plenty of opportunities to spend time with them: family meals, meetings and outings. I'll never forget what they taught me through their lives and witness. For the students, Sunday lunch at one of the pastors' homes is a chance to meet friends and chat in a friendly atmosphere. Thanks to the preaching and Bible studies, I've grown in my faith: they've always made me think, and they've encouraged me to witness more and more. We deal with difficult, controversial and important issues. I'm grateful to God for all the blessings I've received over the past two years, and I urge you to visit and discover this church for yourself!
